FORGE AMERICAN MANUFACTURING
More than a production facility.
We serve as a vital bridge between theoretical material science and commercial-scale production.
Strengthening the Domestic Materials Supply Chain
to Support America’s Most Critical Industries
Through Forge American Manufacturing, ALMMII is expanding domestic access to the advanced materials U.S. industry needs for research, testing, and validation. We produce specialized development quantities that are often difficult to source through traditional suppliers, helping organizations continue their work without relying on uncertain foreign supply chains or commercial-scale minimum orders.
Our mission is clear: to strengthen the United States manufacturing competitiveness, national security and economy.
Forge American Manufacturing exists because advanced-material innovators cannot always obtain the specialized materials needed in practical development quantities. Forge fills that gap domestically and helps carry those materials toward commercial production.

Connected to a National Manufacturing Ecosystem
Forge American Manufacturing is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute (ALMMII), the nonprofit organization that operates LIFT — a Department of War supported Manufacturing Innovation Institute.
LIFT connects industry, government, academia, and the national manufacturing community to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced materials and manufacturing technologies.
Through this relationship, Forge American Manufacturing provides access to a multidisciplinary team of highly experienced metallurgical and materials engineers, advanced-manufacturing specialists, and modeling and simulation experts.
Their combined expertise supports complex programs across alloy development, process optimization, materials characterization, digital engineering, systems integration, qualification, and production scale-up.
This depth of expertise enables Forge American Manufacturing to approach material-development challenges as integrated engineering programs—not isolated production requests.
From evaluating alloy behavior and predicting material performance to refining manufacturing processes and producing development-scale material, Forge American Manufacturing brings together the knowledge, infrastructure, and collaborative resources required to move advanced technologies toward implementation.
